Nightscout (“CGM in the Cloud”) is a free, open-source system that collects your glucose values in real time and makes them accessible from anywhere: in the browser, on your phone and for your family.
Nightscout takes the values from your glucose sensor (CGM) and stores them in your own database. From this a live curve is created with trend, prediction and alarms: reachable at your own web address. You decide who is allowed to follow along.
That is exactly what CGM remote monitoring is: the values are not only on your own phone but, if you allow it, also visible from afar. Parents see their child's value from work, a partner is woken at night during a hypo. And all of this independent of the manufacturer: whether Dexcom, Freestyle Libre or Medtrum: the values flow into your Nightscout via apps like xDrip+, AndroidAPS or Loop.
See your child's glucose value from afar: at school, during sports, at night. With an alarm when things get critical.
All values, trends and treatments in one place: no matter which sensor or which pump.
Follow along as a follower: with read-only access, without being able to change anything.
AndroidAPS, Loop and Trio write to Nightscout and read from it: the data hub for your closed-loop system.
Nightscout is great. But running it yourself means: setting up a server, typing dozens of settings by hand, keeping it up to date, securing backups, troubleshooting errors yourself. ns.10be.de takes all of that off your hands:
